                                                           THE MUSIC OF LIFE

Life has a rhythm to it that is conjured up by our many experiences. This rhythm becomes our song. We become the composer of our symphony.

It can become a melody of love and caring or just a noise of discontent. Your music is created by your many thoughts and how you interact with your envirornment. In essence, it becomes what you conceive it to be.

Our music is generated by our feelings. Our feelings are brought on by how we interact with our world. Our actions are a response to our programs that we have acquired through childhood development.

You can create a life of beautiful sonnets that elicit love and harmony or you can be masters of confusion and unpleasant arrangments. You are your own composer and life will turn out to be the way you conceive it to be.

It is possible to catch a glimpse of the music that people are playing by looking into their eyes. Their eyes are truely windows to their soul. Their eyes elicit warmth, happiness and harmony or they can project coldness, indifference, or confusion.

You seem to be able to sense the symphany of love and harmony in their lives or they may project confusion and chaos. We all project the music we are listening to.I have often thought that if  you don't like the way you're feeling you might want to change your record.

When your young we seem to hear the music of uncertainty. We lack confidence to compose but we have our wonderful imagination to give us the ability to hear it. As an adult we can have the ability to compose, but we seem to lose the ability to hear. It doesn't happen over night. The sound of the music waxes and wanes until you just don't hear it anymore.

When you're young and adventuresome, you do not have trouble hearing the music because your imagination runs wild. You can see yourself as the hero in an ongoing saga of life. You are always successful and you can hear the grandear of the music. You have no trouble hearing it but you seem to lack the confidence to create it. As you grow older your self-image becomes tarnished and the music ever so slowly stops playing.

Once the music has stopped the rhythm, melody and harmony of life seems to fade away with it. Your left with this umcomfortable feeling that something is missing in your life. You look back at your childhood and wish for the days when you could hear the music. You grow to hate the silence. You were supposed to be a composer but you lost your way. You lack confidence and you long for those days when you were young and alive with your imagination. In those days you had no trouble hearing the songs of love and laughter.

My years of toil caused me to lose my focus as to what is important in life. The rhythm of life has left me. I have become a player of existence. It seems to happen to most of us. We are covered by a shroud and we cannot find our way out. We long for those days when we could hear the music.

Our lack of participation in the harmony of life has left our inner beauty dormant. After so many years of queitness we forgot there ever was any music. We no longer hear the music and in the years where we are supposed  to compose it, we lack the ability. We become creatures of discontent and in the process our souls and health suffer dearly.

What I have learned so far is that if there is no God in your life there is no music. Without the music we experience sadness and discontent and all of this leads to poor health.

You finally, through  desperation, turn to God in hopes of finding some form of salvation. You pray and You pray! You make sacrifices and you do good deeds. You want a miracle because of your poor health . You will do anything including bargaining with God. It doesn't happen so you double your efforts but still nothing happens.

Then one day you reach out to help someone and suddenly the music start to play. You cannot believe your ears but it's really there. The more you reach out the louder it becomes. It feels so good that you just can't stop helping whoever is in need. You suddenly realize that you have become a composer of your life. The melody and the harmony becomes an important part of your life and you wouldn't have it any other way.

As time progresses you suddenly realize you are experiencing a miracle because your health starts improving even though you were told that it was not possible. Your imagination once again becomes alive. Your music becomes a full orchestration of love, harmony and health. You reach the point where you did not realize that life could be this good. You suddenly realize that what you just went through was the best thing that could have ever happened to you. Life can be such a wonderous experience if your willing to listen to and create the music.
